Our hosting and analytics services may process ordinary technical information such as device, browser, referral source, approximate location and visit activity. Payment and streaming providers collect additional information under their own notices.

Why we use it

We use enquiry details to answer requests, assess briefs and provide quotes. If you request a guide or checklist, we use the information needed to send that resource and manage the request. We may use aggregate site statistics to improve the website and understand which pages and resources people find useful. We do not treat an enquiry or guide request alone as permission to send unrelated promotional emails.

Mailing list and consent

If you separately opt in to receive Silasbeats updates, we may email you occasional music-business resources, creative-work news or relevant offers. Newsletter opt-in is voluntary and distinct from requesting a free download. You can withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe option in a marketing email, or by emailing info@silasbeats.com. Services and sharing

Wix hosts the website and manages supporting website and customer services, including forms and contact records where enabled. BeatStars manages beat browsing, licensing and checkout; Gumroad handles purchases of our downloadable guides when available. Spotify, YouTube and embedded video or audio hosts may collect information when their players load or you interact with them. These platforms are separate providers with their own privacy policies. We do not sell personal information. We share only information needed for the services you request, website operations or legal obligations.

Cross-border processing

Some hosting, media, email and checkout providers operate outside South Africa. Your information may therefore be processed or stored in other countries, subject to the relevant provider's safeguards and applicable law. Please contact us if you would like more information about a particular provider.
